Otherwise, they will not automatically get Cold Weather Payments.

While the payment is made automatically, some people may be interested to know whether they can get a payment in their area, and this can be done via the postcode checker tool on the government website.

The DWP has told which postcodes have seen a Cold Weather Payment be triggered this season, with these being triggered last year during the winter of 2019 to 2020.

So far in the season, only Scotland has seen weather cold enough for the relevant time period to trigger Cold Weather Payments.

Today, the DWP confirmed that there has not been any Cold Weather Payments triggered in 2020.

  • PH10-11
  • PH18
  • AB37
