Doctors do not know why Ella was born this way but her mother Holly, 21, is fundraising to pay for a robotic arm to give her a full life.
Holly, from Bedworth, Warwickshire, said: “Ella is brilliant and does a lot of things on her own.
“She is so independent and doesn’t want me to help her at all. She takes Duplo blocks apart with her feet and uses her hand to build them.
“She grasps two pens with her feet and will scribble away.
“You can see her watching sometimes, puzzled at something, thinking how to do it herself. She is amazing.
“Nothing stops her or gets in her way. She can’t quite walk yet but it is hard to keep her still. We are so proud of her.”
Ella’s family hope to have raised enough money to pay for a robotic arm for when she is older but are also looking to pay for cosmetic ones that she can use when she starts school.
Local people have started chipping in, and have raised £2,000 towards the £95,000 cost of the arm.
Holly added: “We found out about her arm at my 20-week scan and I just felt numb. I was shocked. “It took quite a while to sink in but it was heart breaking at the time.
“We are trying to raise money for her to have a fully robotic arm when she is older.
“But a cosmetic one, which doesn’t work fully, would also help her with her confidence when she reaches school.
“It isn’t available on the NHS but we want our daughter to have a full life.”
