Sophie Gradon has died aged 32, it’s been reported. The former Love Island star’s boyfriend posted on Facebook this morning saying: “I will never forget that smile I love you so so much baby your my world forever and always.”(sic)
He shared a picture of him and Sophie together on his profile. The couple went public with their relationship on May 29.
The reality star’s ex-boyfriend Ashley Lenco posted on Facebook saying: “I just genuinely can’t believe it, I’ve never felt so strongly for someone else in my life apart from family we was intense and close and madly in love but if people can stop asking me.
“I only wanna speak to people who care about me and who cared about her. RIP.”
Love Island host Caroline Flack has paid tribute “beaitiful” Sophie on her Twitter account. She said: “So very sad . Such a beautiful soul …. such a beautiful smile …thoughts and love with friends and family @sophiegradon.”
A spokesperson for Northumbria Police told The Mirror: “At about 8.27pm yesterday (June 20) police attended a properly in Medburn, Ponteland, where sadly a 32-year-old woman was found deceased.
“There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding her death. A report will now be prepared for the coroner.”
The Newcastle-born star was previously named Miss Great Britain in 2009.
Sophie made history on Love Island when she paired up with Katie Salmon, forming the ITV2 show’s first same-sex couple.
She was previously paired with barman Tom Powell.
Holly Hagan tweeted from her official account: “@sophiegradon you were only helping me battle the twitter trolls yesterday rest in peace beautiful.”
Calum Best’s official Twitter account posted: “Jesus how sad what a good woman and friend I’m so sorry for this loss ! My thoughts and prayers are with her family . So damn sad @sophiegradon RIP.”
Love Island star Alex Bowen added: “We had lots of little chats and so many laughs you were the the shoulder to cry on and a beautiful person with a beautiful soul. Shine bright in that sky Sophie gradon.”
Geordie shore star Nathan Henry also spoke out on the news, saying: “Rest in peace you beautiful little angel, the heavens are blessed with beautiful smile RIP.”
The official Miss Great Britain Twitter account also tweeted: “Shocked beyond belief!!! RIP @sophiegradon sending all our love to Sophie’s family at this incredibly sad time.”
Sophie last posted on social media in yesterday, tweeting about Love Island to her 216,000 followers.
Replying to a tweet defending Adam Collard, she simply said: “Nah fam.”(sic)
