Real Madrid v Roma live stream: How to watch International Champions Cup live online

Real Madrid vs Roma LIVE STREAM

Real Madrid was put under the spotlight during this summer’s transfer window after footballing maestro Cristiano Ronaldo left the Spanish giants for Juventus.

Following the £105million sale of Ronaldo, the former president of Real Madrid, Ramon Calderon, blasted the club’s decision to sell the star as a “historic error”.

He said: “It’s very sad that they have sold a player like Cristiano Ronaldo, it’s a real pity.

“With what it cost me to sign him, the effort that we made to bring him to Madrid…. Manchester (United) did not want to sell home and it was very difficult.

“And now they have sold him. There isn’t a player who scores 60 goals a year for you and is worth to you €100m.”

He also told Diario AS, a Spanish newspaper, that getting rid of Ronaldo was “not good news” no matter how much extra funding he brought the club.

Mr Calderon went on: “Selling Cristiano is not good news, either for 100 million or a billion. But it is true that we put a clause of a billion euros to discourage those interested in him in the future, but at the same time, to show that there was no other player like him.

“It’s a historic error.”

Despite the departure of their star man, Real Madrid still have Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema and Isco to launch effective attacks against Roma.

With only one game left to play in the International Champions Cup neither team can win.

But both will surely want to finish on a high ahead of their new respective seasons.
