Singer Adam Lambert has filled the shoes of late Queen frontman and music icon Freddie Mercury since 2009. Lambert, 37, is considerably younger than the other band members but has already performed around 200 concerts with the group. He performed with Queen when they opened Oscars earlier this year and has proven he is a strong fit.
The Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody, won an Oscar and raked in millions at the box office, proving there’s still a massive appetite for their music.
While Queen will never be the same following the death of founding member Freddie Mercury in 1991, it now offers fans an entirely new spectacle.
So it will delight fans to know that Queen and Adam Lambert will be taking their musical collaboration on tour to Australia in 2020.
In a statement from the band about the tour, Queen drummer Roger Taylor said: “We are ready for Australia and raring to get back with our new show.”
