Pixel 3 debuted last month and offers superb software and arguably the best main camera system on a smartphone.
The flagship comes with Google’s stock version of Android, meaning no skin is present on top.
And Pixel 3 comes with the latest software from the Mountain View company, Android 9 Pie, and will be the first to receive new iterations of the operating system.
And the hardware comes with a 12.2-megapixel rear lens that is incredibly capable thanks to its harmony with Google’s laudably clever machine learning technologies.
Most importantly, the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL present a number of aesthetic changes from their respective predecessors.
Both come with a smooth-feeling rear glass panel that also helps to deliver wireless charging functionality.
Most importantly though, both handsets radically reduced bezels on the front of their displays.
However, it appears both Android devices could be radically challenged by a new budget rival from none other than Google itself.
Russian publication Rozetked recently posted images of what it claimed was a Pixel 3 “Lite”.
The hardware was shown featuring a similar design to the smaller Pixel 3, but appeared to display bigger bezels overall, only a single front-facing camera and had a headphone jack at the top.
The outlet also posted supposed sample pictures from the hardware and claimed the Pixel 3 “Lite” would be just as capable in this department as its more premium brothers.
Other notable specifications included a 2915mAh battery, a Snapdragon 670 chipset inside and a 5.56-inch IPS display.
The device was said to cost between $400 (£312.11) and $500 (£390.14).
But now another Russian blog by the name of Wylsa has posted more alleged images of the Pixel 3 “Lite” device, offering a greater insight into its size and footprint overall.
The Pixel 3 “Lite” was displayed as roughly the same height as the iPhone XR but slightly thinner in width overall.
Although the hardware has a much smaller screen than the iPhone XR, the size of the device is heightened by its sizeable bezels.
The Russian site also placed the Pixel 3 “Lite” next to the original Google Pixel, the Pixel 3 XL and an iPhone Xs to present its potential size.
Although the Pixel 3 “Lite” has seemingly been outed, it is worth noting Google has not confirmed the device’s existence in any capacity.
