Piers Morgan, 53, updated his fans on the terrifying tremor and revealed he had been woken up in the early hours. He told his 6.6 million Twitter followers: “Well, the bed most definitely moved for me… “Just been woken up in LA by a 2.8 magnitude earthquake. Epicentre a mile from my house in Beverly Hills. “Just a smallish rattle-and-roller but always rather unnerving, especially as California’s due another ‘Big One’.”
“Just a smallish rattle-and-roller but always rather unnerving, especially as California’s due another ‘Big One’.”
The Good Morning Britain host insisted it was just a small earthquake but admitted it was “unnerving”.
Rapper Cardi B didn’t quite feel the same as she tweeted: “Ommmgg I never felt a earthquake till today. B***h I’m scare!”(sic)
The ITV star retweeted the post and told the Bronx hitmaker to “get a grip”.
He said: “It was only 2.8. Do get a grip, Ms B.”
Piers owns a luxury home in the exclusive suburb of Beverly Hills which he bought for $5.4million back in 2011, according to The Mirror.
His home is reportedly included on the local celebrity spotted bus tours that run through the city.
His wife Celia Walden, 43, recalled a moment where Piers received a round of applause form tourists on the tour in an interview with The Telegraph in 2014.
She told the publication: “As my husband walked out of the front gate, briefcase in hand, one of the Starline Tour buses that patrol the streets of Beverly Hills each day pulled up outside.
“‘It’s him, it’s Piers Morgan!’”
She continued: “From my position on the balcony above, I heard the burst of applause and watched the camera flashes go off.
“Of course my husband lapped it up treating this impromptu audience to a series of regal waves and megawatt smiles.”
Celia concluded: “I, however, found the whole thing slightly galling.”
Elsewhere, it seemingly appears the ITV favourite has reigned his feud with YouTube sensation KSI.
The presenter retweeted a message from the comedian and rapper where he stated his album was available for purchase now.
Piers quizzed the musician and wrote: “How much money will you make from it?”
KSI didn’t appear too fond of the jibe as he replied in view of his own 4.7 million followers: “Oh f*** off Piers.”
