Sir Mick Jagger, 75, took to Instagram to share a picture of him sporting causal attire while out for a stroll today. The singer opted for a shirt, jeans and trainers with a cap and smiled for the camera. In view of his 1.6 million followers, he commented: “A walk in the park!” Many of his fans and showbiz friends flocked to his page to comment on his appearance, including Piers Morgan, 53.
The Good Morning Britain host wrote: “Good to see you back on your feet, Sir Michael.”
Jools Holland, 61, wrote: “Get well soon,” while Naomi Campbell, 48, commented with a blowing a kiss, heart and raising hand emojis.
Last month, the group released a statement, stating Sir Mick is “expected to make a full recovery”.
In view of their 3.3 million followers, they wrote: “Mick has been advised by doctors that he cannot go on tour at this time, as he needs medical treatment.
“The doctors have advised Mick that he is expected to make a complete recovery so that he can get back on stage as soon as possible.”
Mick also shared a statement, telling fans he is “devastated” to have to postpone his US and Canada tour.
He commented: “I’m so sorry to all our fans in America & Canada with tickets. I really hate letting you down like this.
“I’m devastated for having to postpone the tour but I will be working very hard to be back on stage as soon as I can.”
He concluded: “Once again, huge apologies to everyone.”
Last week, he took to his social media page to thank his fans for their support as he revealed he is “on the mend”.
He wrote: “Thank you everyone for your messages of support, I’m feeling much better now and on the mend.
“And also a huge thank you to all the hospital staff who did a superb job.”
The Rolling Stones were due to kick off the US and Canada leg of their No Filter tour at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida on April 20.
Their final date was scheduled at the Burl’s Creek Even Grounds in Ontario, Canada, on June 29.
Mick previously told his 2.16 million followers he was “looking forward” to getting back on the stage with his group.
He commented: “Looking forward to heading back to Canada, this will be a good one!”
