Speaking on ITV The Royal Rota, the Sunday Times Royal Correspondent urged Meghan Markle and Prince Harry to be “realistic” as they hope to keep the Royal Baby private and away from the public interest. Ms Nikkhah argued Prince Harry is the most popular Royal amongst the public and would never be able to escape the media and the public interest as much as he and Meghan Markle would like.
She claimed that despite the latest member of the Royal Family may never take on official duties in the future, he or she will never have a “normal life”.
She said: “This baby might never even take on Royal official duties, but there is no escape from the fact that they will always be an enormous public interest.
“Not just a media but a public interest in the baby.
“Because they are very big news and Harry is beloved by the nation.
“We love him. He’s the most popular member of the Royal Family often in polls after the Queen, sometimes even ahead of the Queen.
“So I think it’s not just about the media and wanting to keep the distance.
“I think you’ve got to be realistic. When you are a global mega-star like Harry is, yes, of course you want to give your child as normal a life as possible but actually what does that mean?
“That child is probably going to have a life very different to most children.”
On Thursday Buckingham Palace released a statement about the couple’s intentions – but the ambiguous note has left everyone wondering if the Sussex baby is already here.
The statement said: “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very grateful for the goodwill they have received from people throughout the United Kingdom and around the world as they prepare to welcome their baby.
“Their Royal Highnesses have taken a personal decision to keep the plans around the arrival of their baby private.
“The Duke and Duchess look forward to sharing the exciting news with everyone once they have had an opportunity to celebrate privately as a new family.”
Some believe the last sentence proves the baby has already arrived, and we’ll find out when they are ready to share the news with the world.
Meghan was last seen in public on March 19, when she visited New Zealand House with Prince Harry to pay their respects for those killed in the Christchurch terror attack
According to reports, Meghan started her maternity leave on March 20.
Since this announcement from Buckingham Palace comes nearly a month after Meghan’s final engagement, royal fans are assuming that means the baby is coming soon — if not, already.
