Umtiti has forged a reputation as one of Europe’s top centre-backs since joining Barcelona from Lyon in 2016.
And the Spanish giants are desperate to tie him down as they plan for the long-term.
Umtiti’s future has been the subject of plenty of speculation though with no agreement on the cards.
And Manchester United have been tipped to make the most of his £52m (€60m) release clause by signing him this summer.
The latest reports indicate Umtiti could be on his way to Old Trafford if his three demands are not met.
According to Spanish outlet Don Balon, Umtiti wants Barcelona to pay him £7.9m (€9m) a year.
That’s apparently the same as United are offering him but Barcelona will only stretch to £5.2m (€6m) a year.
Umtiti is also said to have told Barcelona that they must sign his France team-mate Antoine Griezmann.
The Atletico Madrid ace is already on their radar, so the defender looks set to be satisfied in that regard.
Umtiti’s final demand is supposedly that Barcelona do not look to replace Yerry Mina and Thomas Vermaelen this summer.
Mina and Vermaelen are Barcelona’s back-up centre-backs and Don Balon claim Umtiti is happy for them to continue in those roles.
Umtiti’s salary demands are thought to be the biggest stumbling block as negotiations continue.
And Barcelona could lose the 24-year-old to United, or potentially Juventus, if they do not cave.
