And it is Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah.
The Premier League are scheduled to announce the winner at 11:30 but Sky Sports revealed the 25-year-old had won the award ahead of the reveal.
And the Premier League duly confirmed Salah as the first player to win the award three times in a season, having also won in November and February.
“I feel good to win it again, we had good results in the month so that’s the most important thing,” Salah said.
“I’m very proud to see myself fighting to break the [goalscoring] record for the Premier League. I’m thinking about each game. That’s my target, I want to score, I want to help the team to win again.
“It’s still five games to go, there’s a big chance, let’s see.”
The Liverpool scored six goals in March including four against Watford.
Other names on the shortlist were Son Heung-min, Romelu Lukaku, David Silva, Cenk Tosun and Chris Wood.
He is also sixth player to win Player of the Month in consecutive months following Robbie Fowler, Dennis Bergkamp, Cristiano Ronaldo, Harry Kane and Jamie Vardy.
Salah missed Liverpool’s match with Everton last week but should be fit to play against Bournemouth this weekend.
