That is according to two-time NBA champion and TNT ‘Inside the NBA’ analyst Kenny Smith.
James has fully lived up to his nickname ‘Playoff LeBron’ with a series of game-winning performances during the playoffs.
In the first round, James almost single-handedly carried the Cleveland Cavaliers past the Indiana Pacers then in the semi-finals, he was once again key as the Cavs swept the Toronto Raptors 4-0.
The Cavs will face the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference finals which begin on Sunday (8.30pm).
And Smith feels James thrives when he does it all.
Smith said: “To me, he plays better when he has more responsibility. When he has a lot of help, at times he defers too much.
“But when they say we need you to score first and then everything else second, to me he actually plays a better basketball game.
“And that’s what they are asking him to do now because there are so many new guys.
“They are not using Rodney Hood, Tristan Thompson at times, they haven’t used guys they have depended on to rebound and score from the perimeter.
“So now he’s been doing everything and LeBron is going to be at his best.”
