Katherine Dow Blyton, 54, took to the social media site after her pet dog was diagnosed with Kennel Cough.
The Emmerdale favourite asked her fans for advice and for them to share tips on helping him feel better.
Next to an image of her pet pooch with a blanket, she said: “My poor boy has been diagnosed with Kennel Cough.
“It sounds so painful & he’s been coughing all night. Any advise on how I help him feel better please? He has anti-inflammatory meds.”
Katherine was inundated with different recommendations with one person writing: “Try manuka honey…it helped my old border collie so much she faked a cough to keep getting it…hope he is feeling better soon it’s awful for them bless.”
Another suggested: “Our dog had this and our vet recommended kids cough medicine ticksy licks, it’s very gentle but does soothe them.”
While a third recommended “Simple Linctus from anywhere it worked for my dogs, vets send prescriptions to the pharmacy I work at for dogs with kennel cough x.”
Katherine appeared thrilled with all of the comments and uploaded more photos of her dog to say thank you.
She wrote alongside the images: “Thank you all so much for your advice & ‘get well wishes’ much appreciated.”
Meanwhile, Katherine’s character on Emmerdale, Harriet Finch, was left reeling after being attacked in tonight’s episode.
The vicar was left with visible face injuries after the awful incident.
Harriet had been collecting money for charity which was cruelly snatched from her at the end of the episode.
She was pushed to the floor whilst the mystery mugger made off with the cash.
Speculation will soon be rife over the suspect, with some fingers pointing towards Ryan Stocks (played by James Moore).
In tonight’s instalment, Harriet came to blows with Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley) after she lied to get Aiesha Richards (Shila Iqbal) in trouble at the factory.
Dawn had reconnected with Ryan in the episode after he apologised for what had happened between them when he offers her cash for sex.
In a candid chat, Dawn revealed what she had done in trying to deliberately get Aiesha in trouble to protect her own job and she realised she’d have to come clean to Jai (Chris Bisson) and Rishi Sharma (Bhasker Patel).
At the Woolpack, Harriet intervened in a row between Jai and Aiesha, where Aiesha was still insisting the mix-up wasn’t her fault, and the vicar stepped in to the them it was Dawn.
However, Dawn walked in as Harriet was spilling the beans and she wasn’t impressed.
In a desperate mission to get back into Dawn’s good books, has Ryan attacked Harriet?
Emmerdale continues Monday at 7pm on ITV.
