Despite the Huawei P20 Pro being one of the newest smartphones out there right now, the company is already perfecting it with a new update.
The update, which has already rolled out to some P20 Pro phones, is a whopping 3.46GB beast of a software overhaul.
This is more of an optimisation upgrade. That means it’s mostly about security strengthening to make the device safer.
The P20 Pro update for EMUI 8.1.0 and Android 8.1 Oreo, with the catchy name CLT-L29 220.127.116.11(C432)-FULL, manages to solve the issue of updating the online themes in the Themes section. From a user perspective there is very little else that can be seen as changed.
This is mainly a security update, and a big one at that, suggesting it must be important, so it’s highly recommended that you get your P20 Pro up to date as soon as possible.
The Huawei P20 Pro uses artificial intelligence to enhance the handset’s features, including a smart camera adaption feature. Such a powerful machine learning based feature will need to be kept up to date so seeing Huawei rollout an update so soon is a very good sign.
The P20 Pro AI camera is able to recognise subjects in a scene and then automatically adapts the triple lens camera to take the best possible photo in the correct mode.
To update your Huawei P20 Pro go into Settings and check for a software update now.
