Corned beef hash 

This quick, easy and delicious dish can be rustled up in very little time to feed a starving crew. Simply boil potatoes, heat some oil, fry onions and potatoes until slightly brown, chuck in some Princes Corned Beef and season regularly. We bet you’re already warmed through just reading that. 

Corned beef chilli

Pep up a bog-standard bean chilli with a tin of Princes Corned Beef and a slug of red wine and extra spice for good measure. Drench with grated cheese and finish off the wine. 

Pan haggerty

Pan haggerty like grandma used to make. Take four large potatoes, thinly sliced, layer them with slices of corned beef and onions, add flour, stock cubes and seasoning and cook for an hour on a high heat, allowing the potatoes on top to crisp at the end.  

Baked potatoes with corned beef ragu

Make the perfect ragu with peppers, chillies, tomatoes, garlic, onions and mixed veg. Oh, and a diced tin of Princes Corned Beef, of course. Serve with a large buttery baked potato. Yum.  

Corned beef sandwiches

Hark back to your schooldays with a good old doorstep wedge sandwich. Layer on the butter and slaver with relish or mustard. 

Pickled gherkins, grilled on sourdough with Emmental 

If you like your corned beef served a bit posher, toast a couple of slices of sourdough bread, add some slices of Princes Corned Beef and Emmental and grill until melted. Garnish with pickled gherkins and Thousand Island dressing. 

Corned beef pasties

Fry onions, dice potatoes, chop corned beef into cubes and mix it all up in a shortcrust pastry. Use egg and milk for the edges, pinch together and bake. Pasties are really that easy. 

Corned beef fritters

Make a basic batter by mixing egg, flour and milk and spices of your choice (turmeric works a treat), coat your corned beef thoroughly and deep fry in at least an inch of oil. Serve with onion marmalade. 

Corned beef pie

For a heartening corned beef pie, finely chop and fry onions, carrots and potato in a heavy-base pan for 15 minutes until soft and add your diced corned beef. Add a bit of stock to really beef it up and serve with mushy peas and a slice of nostalgia.  

Corned beef potato cakes

Shape mashed potato, egg yolk, garlic, leeks and onions into patties and chill for a couple of hours. Shallow fry and serve with lovely green veg.
