Who is Ayda Field?
Ayda Field, 39, was born Ayda Sabahat Evecan on May 17, 1979, in Los Angeles.
Her mother is American film producer Gwen Field and her father is Turkish.
Ayda is fluent in English, French and Italian.
She has enjoyed some success as an actress, first becoming known for her role in popular soap opera Days of Our Lives.
Since then, she has mostly specialised in comedy roles, appearing in Blue Collar TV, Eve, Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip and Back to You.
Ayda made her UK TV debut in the final series of Fresh Meat in 2016 and then has appeared in the ITV/Netflix series Paranoid since.
Most recently, she became known to British audiences as a guest panellist for ITV’s Loose Women in 2016.
Ayda began dating Robbie in in May 2006 and the couple moved in together in 2009.
Robbie proposed later that year live on Australian radio and they were married at his home in Mulholland Estates, Beverly Hills on August 7, 2010.
The couple now have two children, daughter Theodora ‘Teddy’ Rose, who was born in 2012, and son Charlton Valentine, born in 2014.
Robbie received criticism for his extensive coverage of his wife’s labour process while she was delivering their son.
In one video, Robbie sings lyrics from the Disney film Frozen to her as she is told to “push” by doctors.
She eventually manages to groan: “Stop singing Frozen!” at her husband.
In another, he is singing and dancing to one of his own records while she struggles through the pain of contractions.
But it seems the pair are a match made in heaven as Ayda said the marriage works as they are both “very happy to be more than a little bit ridiculous.”
She added: “After I gave birth to Charlie he described the experience as like ‘watching his favourite pub burn down’. How many wives would put up with that?”
She said she was grateful for the distraction of the singing and dancing Robbie.
“I thought the idea was genius. It took my mind off everything – especially the pain,” she said.
The 2018 series of X Factor will kick off in late summer/early autumn but the broadcast date is yet to be confirmed.
Alongside Ayda, also said to be taking the reigns on the judging panel this year is One Direction star Louis Tomlinson and Robbie Williams himself.
They will join Ayda and Simon in the 15th series of X Factor, while Sharon Osbourne joins for live shows.
The incoming trio of judges are set to be seen together for the first at a press conference in London tomorrow.
The new appointments come after music manager Louis Walsh quit the ITV show after 13 years in June, saying he “needs a change.”
