England on lockdown until EASTER: Nigel Farage warns lockdown ‘will not end’ on December 2 | UK | News

Ahead of Boris Johnson’s lockdown announcement next week, the Brexit Party leader warned the country could be stuck in this position “until Easter”.

Mr Farage has insisted the Government must change its approach to the virus if the country is finally to recover from the pandemic.

England’s lockdown is set to end on December 2 but is expected the country will return to the tiered regional system approach.

Mr Farage said today: “It sounds like lockdown will not end on December 2nd as we will enter into strict regional restrictions.

“We will be stuck with this until Easter unless the government changes approach.”

After meeting with Cabinet, Mr Johnson is expected to announce the new coronavirus restrictions on Monday.

Although the finer details have not been confirmed, it is expected the Government will refine the tier system in order for it to become more strict in some areas.
